I know skill has alot to do with it, but some steels I beileve sharpen better with different sharpeners. I read on the website that rosarms uses a steel that's close to bg-42. I have no experience with either steel, so I'm woundering what works well sharpening it. Right now all I have is a spyderco sharpener. Before I buy one of these knives I want to know how to take care of them. Thanks.

Sorry, I was out for a few days and didn't answer sooner...

I used a few different types of sharpeners and so far find out that Diamond sharpeners are the best.

I'm using Dia-sharp sharpeners from DMT. I have a set of 3 stones - X-coarse, Coarse and Extra-fine. They are expensive but so far the best.

Also I have Ceramic sharpening system from Spyderco and it also does good job.

But I never been successful with regular stones - not hard enough.

Thankyou, and I did not mean to be impatient. I'm just bad at sharpening and it'd suck to get the knife dull and not be able to sharpen it back up again.

I just purcased a Cliff knife from ROSarms and have used a fine DMT diamond hone backed by a ceramic rod and a quick leather strop. This did the trick!
