I am stumped. I don;t want to display them, for fear of someone stealing them while i'm out, I don't want to store them in sheaths because I don't want them to tarnish, I don't think they'll fit in a knife roll because of thier size. What do you do with your safe queens?

I always use pure Italian olive oil ["Genoa"; from my local sub shop]; with a few pieces of garlic thrown in for flavor...I'll do some green peppers too while I'm at it...stick them in a nice buttery Italian bread sandwich...mmmmm, good!!! ;)

For my non users. I clean them, wax them and place them in plastic sandwich bags. Wrapping the bag around them several times. I then place them in back in their sheath leaving the sheath flap open, laid out flat. They're kept in an air conditioned environment but I also place desiccant bags in the storage bins with the knives and sheaths.

This seems to work well for me but I'm not an expert.

As for Trax suggestion, I prefer just a plain BLT. Buck knife, Leather sheath and a Trail to follow. ;o)

Store my 300's in large clear plastic fishing tackle box trays with pebble grain latex shelf liner material in bottoms. The biggest ones have have rows moulded in with adjustable dividers. One of the big box Home stores has them with best price. Then coat the metal parts in liquid wax, such as
White Lighting. The shelf liner keeps them from sliding around. You can use tape or sticky tabs to mark the outside of the boxes. After that it's your call, on a shelf, drawer, locked cabinet or small gun vault. Now I need to invent or find a computer software that lets you put some digital pictures and descriptions on a "page" you can either keep in the memory or print in place in ring binder.

Check out a company named Sock-ups. They make the perfect knife roll for 110s. A 12 knife roll will be just a little bigger than a soft ball and will keep them safe and secure. I have eight of these things and I really love’m. They aren’t expensive, don’t take up too much room and protect against moisture.

I try and keep the correct sheath with my old 110's. I use some of the thin packing foam and roll the knife in it and then roll the sheath in with it not touching the knife. Write on the white foam what it is. Be the first to admit it is a pain when going back to look at them. And the rubber bands keep breaking.

This is the ones that don't have boxes.

For mint or vintage collectors, I wipe them down and slip them into a 100% cotton infant sock, very cheap!

Then they are in a small drawer storage container inside my climate controlled gunsafe.
