How do you tote your oil??

Happy Thanksgiving-eve (if that is a thing) everyone!

Last night I was working on my knife, and needed to oil it, but only had a big bottle of mineral oil. I was going to use a toothpick, but then it dawned on me. You see, I'm also a Vaper. As such, I also tend to collect small bottles. Poking through my "collection" I came across this one:

I had bought this 15ml needle bottle some time ago for filling a Kayfun and had it sitting around. Not only did it fill easily, it fit perfectly, even between spacers on the small blades of my GEC #38. I was able to dispense just the right amount into just the right spots. The bottle tends to cost around $3, and you can find them at just about any Vape Shop (of which there are a ton around the country now). You can probably find them online too for the same price.

Just a quick hack from another hobby that I thought you all might be interested in, especially for keeping small bottles wherever you need them. This one is going in my bag. No more excuses for keeping things nice and lubed up for me!

I used a small eye dropper bottle that I had. I just squeezed it, stuck it into the opening of the mineral oil bottle and let it suck the mineral oil into it. Provided an easy way to place a drop into the joints.
 
The way this thread is going you should change the title to "how do you tote your oil"!

Thanks for the tip about the bottle.

I use a prescription pill bottle and pour some mineral oil in the bottom and start layering 2 inch gun cleaning cotton swatches, more oil, more swatches... till it's almost full. Lasts a long time, doesn't leak, and I have something to wipe the blade with.

That completely depends on how aggravated you get with it in any given day!! :D

That being said, I think mine are 316L. Don't ask for the HRC, I couldn't tell ya!!
 
I have a small bottle similar to the one pictured above, but with a plastic nozzle instead of the needle-type tip. I bought it at the Container Store for that specific purpose. I think the one I have is made by Nalgene (in addition to water bottles, they make a lot of small plastic containers for various purposes). I'd post a picture but I'm away from home for a few days for Thanksgiving.
 
I use one of these with mineral oil. 1-1/4 oz. with 18 gauge needle tip.

Noice. I put my oil (mineral cuz it's food safe and dirt cheap) in a plastic eJuice container too.

Works great.

PS: Vaping saved my life ! Thought it was really gay forever, then the guys over in Community convinced me otherwise. Eff cigarettes !
