Hey folks,
i was wondering if and how you guys use Grimlock D rings. I they seem to be quite handy and i'm thinking about getting some. But i actually haven't seen any appealing use yet. So, what do you use yours for?
Thanks,

Karlson

I have at least two on each of my Molle-equipped bags and packs. My favorite use is to hang my ball cap on one so I can have maximum ventilation while climbing, but have my hat handy for when I get where I'm going.

I also use them to secure things I tuck in a pack's water bottle holsters. I usually use a hydration bag inside a pack for water and put things like my camera and GPS in the water bottle pockets, where they could possible fall out. I have a Grimloc above the pocket and secure the camera or GPS strap to it, just in case.

During rifle hunting season, I carry a pair of "boot blankets." These are big insulated overboots I put on over my hiking boots when I get in my tree stand... sort of like a sleeping bag for each foot. They're bulky, but light and have a strap to connect the two of them together. I loop them over the top of my pack and secure them straps with the Grimlocs.

I looked for a photo of Grimlocs in use, but couldn't find one. Here's a shot of my Maxpedition Falcon II with a pair of Grimlocs on the back (that's a Mathews Q2 bow and a Summit Viper tree stand)

Go ahead a get a couple... you'll find uses for them, I bet.

I have a 'butt pad' for sitting on deer watches and secure it to one of my belt loops with a grimlock.
