How do you wrap x-mas presents?

Eversince I was able to put a sharp edge on a blade, when X-mas inevitably rolled around, there were always presents to wrap, and sooner or later my wife guilts me into helping.

I whip out the sharpener, and the strop, and put a razor edge on one of my EDC's,(this year it was my Beretta/Warren Thomas Avenger, because this knife has a single bevel edge of VG10/Carbon Fibre laminate, it takes a wicked edge) and start wrappin'.

Who else will admit to cutting wrapping paper with a knife to wrap presents? :D

I used my Al Mar Auto SEAR last year. My dad saw, and said, so you actually found a use for that thing?

Noithing to wrap yet this year.

To wrap presents, I use a straight edge yardstick to cut the wrapping paper. When it's time to open the presents, then the knife comes out! Just a small Schrade stockman so no one gets overly excited! Have a Merry Christmas!

yard stick for straight edge, and smaller(3" and under) EDC to cut paper.

and the knife comes out to open gifts b/c my family must go through about 2rolls of duct tape each... work better than scotch tape for them boxes. Everyone uses a knife then, usually all from my pockets.

How do I wrap Christmas presents?

Hmm...I still don't know how:p. I try a new method every year.

But yes, a nice always has a role (scissors? What are those?);)

Just finished - thanks to my Spyderco Military PE! Nothing like a nice clean straight edge on the wrapping paper :D

Don't use wrapping paper. I use camo burlap and camo duct tape. I think it spices up christmas. :) Plus, most of the gifts I give are outdoor-related.

Why take the time and pain? Brown bag it. You could even tape a card on the outside of the bag or just write on the bag with a sharpie. Saves a lot of time. :)

Hmmm, lets see. I usually have my wife wrap the kids presents and the kids wrap the wifes presents. However I am always ready to lend a hand with any cutting chores. As my wrapping skills are minimal I find the deligation of these tasks most satisfactory. ;)

it's the wrapping paper...
I get together old porno mags and remove the centerfolds...

I don't know anyone under the age of 20, so that doesn't create a problem. For my mom, I have to go out and get a copy of Playgirl, which is extremely embarassing, but hey, I can't discriminate...

:D :D :D Send me something this year will ya!?:D :D :D

As far as my wrapping skills go, I usually use my Micra or a serrated spydie. The serrations work nice as the paper gets trapped in one of the grooves and I get a nice smoooth cut. Then I use lots of silk tape. End result is that it's really ugly, but I love seeing people TRYING to open my gifts!

Wrapping: Single Edge Razor Blade
Unwrapping is done by hand. In my family it is considered bad luck to cut open a gift.

This year 7 pairs of eyes will light up when they read: "Get a penny out"
on the name tag :D
