I asked similar question before, and being told it was all flat grineded.

but when I check Bad mojo, I see a leaner mean street was hollow grinded.

don't know which is correct. ?

a leaner mean street is only 0.15 thickness, if it was still hollow grinded.

a meaner street is 0.22 thickness, is it must be a hollow grinded too?

all mine are flat ground, meaner and leaner...
Agreed, the meaners are flat, and leaners are saber ground, meaning the blade is full thickness along a portion of the spine, then flat ground down to the edge.

FMS1 - Leaner Street with hollow grind.

?? Typo or variant ??

I have the same knife and laying a business card across the grind it's definitely flat.

I know this is an old thread but does anyone know if hogcult and bussecollector's specs on the two are right? Is the meaner really at .22 or is it a .20? someone that knows or has one please help me out here, thanks
Dan

To add trouble to the pot, I thought the Mil Overrun Mean Street was an intermediate beast - slightly thicker than a leaner, with a 3/4 height grind. Maybe even saber? I can't get at mine right now to check.

Dunno but if anyone spots a factual error on bussecollector.com please let me know and I will fix it.

from the forums everyone is either going by those specs or what was quoted from Busse but from what some say, the actual specs on this may be in question, either that or some may just come from the factory in different thickness?

There have been variations in thickness on many Busses. A mic is good to have around to compare thickness with others.
Couple examples from past ones i've had. 3 Snake BAIII's, 3 different thicknesses. Hogcult shows 0.19. My 3 ranged from .171 to .199 thick. Same with snake CG SJ's.

I think the more recent blades have been pretty spot on as far as specs provided. My SFNO LE is exactly .220.

Yes, the MilGanza Meaner was more like a Tweener. The original Meaner Street and Leaner Meaner street were thick and thin, respectively. The last several years have seen a variety of variants, so it's hard to know what to call them. Keep the calipers handy.

The sage MiliGanza meaner i had was the sharpest factory edge busse Ive ever had.

anyone have spine shots of both the meaner and leaner? And if they know how thick they are would be nice...

I was afraid you were going to ask that. To give you an idea the top is .22 and the one right beneath it is a orginal leaner meaner which I think is .14, someone correct me if Im wrong.

.

I have a stripped leaner that has a Game Warden type handle, was this ever offered, or has this knife been modded, if so who ever did it did a fantastic job, sorry no pics camera is goofed up. if anybody knows i would appreciate it, thanks, Dick.

I think the ones with MRS blades but GW style handles were sold at shows.

origanal MrS..,220 Full Flat Grind
origanal LrMrS...,150 Saber with flat grind
Blade 07 SE and some BCS knives after...,170 Full flat grind
Milli Ganza's and all the Tweaners at BCS that followed...,.195 Saber with flat grind

Not sure about thickness of the very thick Porkys at Balde 09, but they were Saber with Hollow Grind.
