How does a ZT 0301 stack up against a Medford Praetorian G?

I have a 0301 and it is a great, well built knife. In terms of build quality, how does a Praetorian stack up against the 301? I think the 301 is such an unbelievably nice animal for the money. Im just not sure how much nicer you could get since the 301 is a tank and is about perfect. Is the Praetorian more overbuilt?

While I don't own a Medford, I do own a ZT0300 and some other higher end knives. I will say this, once you get past the ~$300 price range, you start paying more for the name and less for materials and craftsmanship. That isn't always true, but it is a general rule of thumb.

If you purchase the Praetorian expecting it to be 2x's the knife, or 2x's as overbuilt, you will be very disappointed. It will have a thicker blade stock, and perhaps be a bit stronger.

I believe the ZT301 is the better knife of the two. I've owned a few Medford Praetorian Ti's and I just didn't like them. They were sharp but the low saber grind makes cutting into anything thick a difficult task. The grip on the Praetorian isn't comfortable either, unless you are wearing gloves. Any work for any extended period of time will result in hot spots fairly quickly. Add to all that the fact your warranty is void if you disassemble any Medford. The ZT301 is the superior knife as far as I'm concerned. I really really tried to like the Praetorian, but I just couldn't.
