How does Busse measure blade length

Quick question for the experts:

Is the blade length measured from the tip of the blade to where the handle material starts or is it from the tip of the blade to where the edge starts.

I'm specifically asking about the Boss Street. Is the blade 4 1/8" to the handle material?

Yes, usually from the scales to the tip. So the choil is included in the blade length.

Thats what I thought but I sized a couple of pictures to make them the same as the advertized size of the Boss and it appears to be 4 1/8" to where the grind starts, with the scales about another 1/2" back.
