How does DC differ from the black, grey, OD and tan coatings?

Double Cut is a bead blasted finish, not a coating. In lower resolution photos it can be confused with the urban grey coating. It is called double cut because the blade is first finished to satin quality and then blasted. It wears VERY well and can be touched up with a blasting cabinet.
