Hello everyone. First, I am super new to the world of knives/knife making, and this forum, so I hope you will please be patient with me while I'm learning.

I recently came across Wild Horse Customs/Joshua Kidd on eBay. I was looking at his knives, and particularly his bolster work, and I'm curious how he is doing his bolster work. It looks like it's free hand to me, but with what tools?

I'm hoping somebody can give me the answer. Thanks in advance.

My guess is that he uses a carbide burr with a rotary tool.

All of that is done with burrs and a high speed rotary tool, as Devin said.
It's imitation hand engraving.
