How does it (110) measure up?

I had made a comment/posed a question in another thread and thought I'd drag it over here for comment. Long story short, I just got a Queen MM from Sooner State knives. The knife came in and had to much blade wobble in both directions. Kenny is great and said send it back for replacement.
Problem is, I don't want to trade one problem for another. I have heard that blade play is a common problem with the mountain man. To my question: Not counting price difference how would you say the Buck 110 measures up beside the Boker 2000? Not positive on the model of the Boker so I will attach a pic. Thanks for any and all thoughts.

i have no experience with the boker folders but i have a few of their fixed blades that i like:thumbup:
as far as comparing i think that would be a matter of personal taste so you should keep the boker and get a 110 and do your own comparison and let us know how you think they compare i am sure they each have their advantages
the only bad things i can say about the 110 is
1) there is so many versions and options (like that is a bad thing):D
2)i find it kind of heavy and bulky for edc

Thats a great knife,i have the same knife,my wife actually bought in in Germany on a family trip.It came with no sheath, its 2004 on the blade ,not 2000,but i'm not sure if thats the model#.I nevr used it,but it was razor sharp out of the box,i think its a great knife, and would make a super edc.

I have about 12 Bokers and 50 Bucks.....for a EDC the Buck is better. Boker has gone down in quailty over the years and has a Twain line now !! ( I know so does Buck- China Line) but Buck has a great life time warranty that it honors...there is a Ebay dealer that will sell you a nice nickle silver stag Buck shipped for about $95 ( that is what I paid for it).....What does the Boker go for from your source?

...I'll be honest , I had a shot at that very knife a few years ago at a pawn shop down here in Florida for $50 and I kick myself in the butt to this day for not taking it. I'm not sure of the steels used by Boker or their company's reputation, but I recall the knife was nicely and very heavily built. It was solid and was just slightly smaller than a Buck 110. All in all it was a quality knife put together very, very nicely. Keeping it and picking up a 110 to compare it with is a good idea. I'd love another shot at another one like it...Welcome to the Buck forum by the way...Let us know about the 110 yer gonna pick up...LOL...

Easiest answer is to pop into an Academy or walmart and fondle a 110 in person. Drive out on one shouldn't be more than $30. Thing is,,if you don't like it, which I can't imagine, you can always send it to me for a Christmas present. :D :D Keep an eye on walmart, someone posted that they already have some at $25 for the Christmas Buck 110 price war. Academy got them down to under $19 last year as Wally got down in that price range. In some places Wally got less than that.

Thing is,,,you won't really know till you play with one.

Hello, welcome to the Buck forum!!!
I will post but I am biased :D...
I only own Buck knives and one handmade custom knife...
I cant compare to the Boker but I would say I would try out a 110 if I were you!!!
My brother bought a boker with a ceramic blade... chips and dings, now it looks to be mini serrated. SHARP at first but thats it.
Buck 110 is USA made also. I can pronounce the name of the city its made in too :D Cant go wrong with that.
