Saw a scandi grind Martiini Utility Hunter with leather sheath at an antique store. New in box. Fifteen dollars. Do they compare favorably with Moras? It was dull as heck but otherwise a competent looking knife.

Much better fit and finish, prettier, not as cheap and not as tough. Also, the stainless models somewhat suck. The carbon steel Marttiinis are ok for the price and worth trying to get to know puukkos. :)

agree with elen for the most part. martiini is usually very sharp though. just get a helle if youve got scandis on the mind

I have one of their stainless knives. It was a little pricier than I would have liked, but was still pretty reasonable. They are a class-up from Moras which are more of plain utilitarian tools. Like the previous poster said, better fit and finish on the parts. They also incorporate more obscure stuff (like reindeer antler material and such):) I like their knives and will probably buy more someday. But then again I like Scandinavian knives.

I recently bought Rapala J Marttiini filet knife in like new condition at the local pawn shop for $5.00. It's scary sharp. I have to say I like it a lot. I also have 2 carbon steel Moras and one stainless steel Mora. I need some Puukkos.

I have a couple Martini's. They are decent knives for the money. They do the job at hand for me.
