if you guys don't like it, let me know why

Thanks in advance!

edit: looks small, ill see if i can get a larger image to upload

edit2: looks like it worked

Ok, you asked. Not a fan. It's confusing to my eye.

Maybe TEK over one big inverted triangle?

Or T E K on each edge of a triangle?

It's simple, I like it :) I'd lose the "third edge knives" under the graphic, it seems like it'd be hard to read on a knife. Unless it's a little bigger than I'm picturing in my head.

i meant to say i would remove it when i stamp it onto my knives.

thanks for bringing it up!

I'm not a fan either, the point down triangles muddle the look in my eye, also it creates the top half of a hexagon that my eyes just cannot unsee, then the top triangle makes it seem like there should be an "A" there. Try shrinking it down to what it's going to be on your blades. See what it looks like then.

Without the small print, under the larger font, I like it. I can imagine it deeply etched, and it looks good in my minds eye. Looks cool, and it's your own deal, which is important.

Perhaps you can share the background of the name selected? Third edge is interesting ...

I'm the third child in my family
I made the insignia quite awhile ago it happened to have 3 parts so that would be another place the third edge name came from

Do you mean interesting is a good way? Hope so :what:

To me I can't help but see part of a pentagram or the star of David, if it was me, I would change it.

I like the 3 triangles, good idea, that 'll work in any size, any color!
I think the text underneath is a bit small and the text in the triangles is just too much.
Imho let te triagles be the logo, let the text be text, don't mix 'm.

I was imagining 3 edges blade (instead of 2 edges as usual with dagger) :)
The logo is yours, and with that background story, it matches. I'd suggest remove the small print from the actual blade stamp.

Honestly, its distracting with the triangles. The letters should be the focus. Also, if you are going to have a stencil made, you will have issues with the letters having thick and thin lines in them. Getting a clean etch will be difficult. Pick a font that has equal line width for the letters. Also, the wording under the mark is un readable even blown up on a computer screen, imagine it on a knife.

Something else about marks, either use your name or initials. Think about if it gets in someones hands down the line and they don't know you, how are they going to look you up?

Some suggestions:

1; Make it narrower. Its too wide/stretched-wide, which is making it look a bit weird.
2; Make the triangles just a little bit smaller. Theyre too big compared to the letters.
3; Try a different font. I couldnt begin to suggest what to, but just experiment with it in your own time.

At least *try* making alteration no.1. I know id at least be able to look at it without wanting to rub my eyes. :)

Alright guys, here's what i changed

i decided cutlery was a better way to go, that way when i end up making something other than a knife family and friends wont give me crap

also taken what Xander said about initials in consideration, i think i will either stamp them into the butt of the handle or etch into the spine of the knife, maybe put it under the insignia
