How does one peen one of these

I just bent the end of the tang and hammered it a bit.

Sorry for my unclarity. What I want to know is how does one peen the end of the tang to a pommel when the diameter of the end of the tang is 1-2mm.

i see the photo. make sure the end is soft and annealed. there does not seem to be enough material to peen to cover that slot. maybe grind down the base of the pommel where it meets the handle material so more of it will stick out, or shorten the handle material.

If you make shallow cut where red line is ,maybe you can move steel to fill that gap.............

At this point I'm just gona sand/file it a little bit and make it look as good as I can. This knife isn't going to see extreme use so I think it will hold with the epoxy.
