How does SPY27 compare with VG-10?

I am specifically asking how well does the edge last compared to SPY27 and the ease of sharpening compared to VG-10.

Does anyone have any experience with SPY27 and HAP40/SUS 10 laminate blade steel?

The edge retention will laster longer on the SPY27, it is significantly harder yet there is not really an increase in sharpening difficulty.

SPY27 technically won't last as long as HAP40 but in real world use you may be surprised.
 
SPY27 is comparable to S35
HAP40 is close to M4.

VG10 is nice easy to maintain.
 
Thank you everyone. The reason behind my questioning is if I want to use my Spyderco Meerkat in Hap40/SUS40 or wait and pick up one of the sprint run Meerkats in SPY27. I have a Navigator in VG-10 that has been a very easy blade steel to live with and I can use as a baseline or reference.

That would make sense. I should probably try pushing spy27's edge thinner rather than keep my blades at the factory angles.
