How does Swamp Rat produce their series knives?

They obviously do not go in order of the series, I see there are R9's and M9's. Do they jump back and forth between series or just produce whatever there may be a demand for? I currently own a Ratmandu and while it is not part of the M series I LOVE the handle and overall design. I am desperately wanting an M7 to come out but when I originally saw the post about it which caused me to seek it out intently, the posts were dated from 2006. I saw they have the pics from blade of the whole R9 series but cannot figure out why they just randomly released the M9 (I am new to Bussekin so I have no idea what year the M9 was really released) This is not a rant by any means I just have my sights set on my personal "ultimate survival knife" and to me the M7 is it. I may just have to break down and snag an M9 just for shiggles and to pass the time :-)
 
AFAIK, there is no schedule discernable to outsiders. Some of us just assume that Jerry gets drunk and decides it's time to make a new knife. :rolleyes:

or maybe he sobers up and decides it's time to make a new knife. :confused::D

So my advice would be to buy what you like now, and don't hold your breath waiting for the next release.
 
I have lost hope for the M7 with the release of the R series. It has been my dream knife for a very long time:
