How does the anodising on the handles hold up?

I love the look of the Radian blade so I went ahead and ordered one! As the weeks go by waiting for it I am beginning to worry about the finish on the handle wearing very easily. Any thoughts or testimonies to the toughness of this finish? I carry and use all my knives and this is the first non g10 handled knife in quite a while:)

None of mine have shown any signs of wear and I carried them daily too. I'm careful with my things though. I've never dropped any of them before, and have nothing else in the same pocket, or I carry IWB.

Can't speak for the anodising but, the dlc is beast. It takea metal with it if I happen to rub it up against something.

I believe all of the aluminum HTM handles are a mil-spec hard anodizing. VERY tough. I don't know what to compare it to or how to quantify it. If you bought and anodized aluminum handle 10-15 years ago the anodizing was known to wear from just being in your pocket. This stuff is many times harder. For minor dings, the finish will tend to deform with the metal and not scratch. Think about some of the high end aluminum pots and pans. The don't scratch easily.

Before I switched to my current EDC (a DDR custom Gunhammer), my EDC was one of the bronze anodized TNK exclusive HTM Gunhammers. My experience with it is identical to Hark's: the anodizing doesn't have any scratches or other signs of wear from the carry/use.

I'm like Hark, too, in that I don't carry anything in the pocket I have my EDC in; if you tend to carry a bunch of keys, change, and other stuff in the same pocket as your knife, pretty much any material or finish is going to get scratched up.

I am a well prepared person on a daily basis both at work and off time. I carry alot of gear and this means that things typicaly end up sharing pockets. The pocket that carrys my knife also carrys my keys and my phone. I am looking forward to getting my htm Gunhammer and testing it out.

If you're worried about scuffing it up, carry it IWB like I do. I started carrying IWB after I got an expensive android phone. The phone basically rides in its own pocket with only my leather wallet. Keys are in the opposing pocket. Folder is IWB.

My work atire does not allow iwb carry. I am a saleman so I must wear slacks and and a collar, all other times my 1911 occupies that spot.

Good to hear :) it has been over 8 weeks since i ordered my htm gunnhamer still waiting:(

Was it direct or from a vendor? If it was direct, PM me some more info and I can see what I can do. If it was from a vendor, I cannot help.

From vendor. A buddy of mine owns cutlery business and I ordered it directly through his suplier.
