How does the custom shop work?

If one were interested in obtaining say a Street Boss without a choil and maybe ground thinner, how would one do that? I see various custom shop offerings but I've never found a section on the Busse webpage that offers any options. What am I missing?

and I'm pretty sure getting a blade w/o a choil or in a thinner profile is amongst the least-available options...

lots of people have had custom shop blades made/modified, and I don't recall any without a choil or ground thinner...

custom handles, maybe some serrations here or there, custom blade finishes, but I dunno about the other such mods.

YMMV.

when I asked for that modification (as apposed to pure custom (which might be an option if you have the patience for it)) I was told that the custom shop wasn't doing any modifications on the cgboss streets at this time.

That is correct:)

Thanks for the info. That was very helpful. The main thing in which I was interested was if a boss street could be obtained through the custom shop without a choil. The other mods could be done on my own, but you can't add metal where it's been removed. Choils are fine on large bladed knives but I don't like them on smaller blades. I've had times when a choil hung up in something I was cutting on smaller knives.

No joy for me but the info was useful. Thanks again!

We are just not offering that option at this time but send Garth a e-mail and possibly down the road the custom shop can do something for you.:)
