I’m new to the world of swamp rat knives. Just wondering how often new blades are released and what the rhyme and reason is for releases. For example, I gather from other post that the ‘Taz Rat’ was just premiered does that mean it’ll be the next pre order?

Thank you in advance for the Swamp Rat lesson, I’ll keep dumb questions to a minimum in the future…

Don't know if there's any set time between runs, but usually there's a lengthy preorder time before the run is completed. I bought my one and only Swamp Rat after the run, one of the extras they cranked out. I believe the RatManDeux LE is on preorder at present, and the Taz Rat is next in the lineup. You can pick up Howling Rats and RatManDus leftover from the last run on the site as well. BTW, they're awesome-I'd highly recommend em!

Contact Eric right now about the latest offerings from the Swamp. He may have something left over.

Thanks guys, I actually have a RMD and Swamp Warden on the way. Probably a good time to get in on this as these are an extremely practical size/weight for me. But where’s the fun in practical? There are some other swamp rat blades that just look amazing (RatMastiff Chopper, M9, MoJo, etc…). I was just curious if there was a cadence/rhyme or reason for the realizes, seems like not so much…

That's pretty much it. :D It is all based upon production cycles with patterns and contract demands that we are not privy to. So... new things come out, other stock replenished and ready to ship? It's like Christmas in July!

Rusty, its sad being a late comer to the Busse family. i have the same problem. i see all the knifes i missed out on and it just doesn't seem right....that all these wonderful knives might never be produced again. there were some wonderful looking blades, the M6, M9, MoJo, ... the list goes on. Scrapyard had some wonderful blades too.
