Hey all - recently I have started experimenting with Alumilite resin on some woodworking projects and was wondering what others have found working with this specific to knife scales. I know people have been doing knife scales for some time with it, and I will try it out but just wondering the general feedback on durability and cracking during drilling and other things to watch out for. Thanks for the help.

I found it dulled quickly with use. It is OK for a display knife or one that gets little use and wear (like a BBQ knife with a pinecone alumilite handle), but I can't see it working well on a field user or EDC.

I’m working on an alumilite handle right now. This one will be used as a fillet knife, so it will more than likely see little to possibly moderate use. Based on the little experience I have, it seems somewhat durable, but like Stacy said, I wouldn’t recommend putting it to heavy use.
