How durable is the SOG revolver?

I am thinking about picking up a SOG seal revolver. It is the older AUS8 version. I was concerned about the lock strength. Anybody used one hard? $75 a good price?

I have used mine extensivly. Back when I was on a review craze, everything that landed in my lap had some form of test done on it. would still be the same, I just have less money now. :D

Many people worry about how it holds up, but in all sense, it has three points where is makes contact, and forces the blade to go no further than intended too. I got the revolver H, hunter model and love it. The saw works fantastic, the blade keeps a good edge, and as far as I know they are still made in the states, I know there are some cheaper models out, so watch out for those.

Up shot?
I've had one for a couple years now, used it lots and honestly don't use it anymore becuase I'm not into the look of it right now, only reason.

I bought one years ago; found on examination that there was, IMO, excessive side to side flex in the handle, so I threw it in the junk box and there it remains, unused, to this day.

Enjoy!

There are a couple different grades of this knife so be sure what you are buying.

Myself, I would get the Laplander or Silky saw and know for sure that you have a very good tool.
