So how exactly do yall make knives?

Do yall buy steel and make the blade from scratch. Or is there a place where you can buy blank knife blade so you can finish them? If there is such a place, can you provide a link.

By far the easiest way to start is with a kit knife. Everything already thought out and pre-manufactured. www.knifekits.com

The next easiest method (for most folks) is to buy a blade, handle material, fittings, etc. and have at it. (see links above)

Most knifemakers make their own knives by grinding out a design from a bar of steel, or pounding it out at the forge.

Most manufacturers stamp the blades from sheets of steel, grind them and then assemble them into knives.

Lots of ways to skin the cat - important part is to just pick one and do it.
