How far back should I be able to display threads?

Hi guys - just a quick question - when I run a search it pulls up results from as far back as 2007 which is great but I can't get anything older than about three months to display - is that the correct forum behavior or should I be able to display a post from around april of last year?

I've been able to search and dig up threads from as far back as 2000. I cannot scroll back that far unless I am lurking in the archive section though.

:thumbup: Let me know if you have any luck, it can be tricky navigating far back. I had a heck of a time looking for the the history of a specific knife which lead me to 3 different sections in the archives. It was a fun read though.
