How feasible to put a wave on a Mantis karambit?

I was thinking maybe the MK-3 Cinq-3 (I misspelled Mantis.) Someone who knew what they were doing could modify the thumbhole into a wave, don't you think? Thoughts?
 
I fixed the title to make it easier to spot. Mantis isn't real popular around here, just so you know if we don't get much response.
 
Mantis isn't very popular here you say. How come? The only ones I've handled belonged to my sensei (seemed solidly well-constructed, from what I saw) and he carries one for his own self-defense blade on the street. He's not exactly a knife knut (I don't think he owns many knives), he just carries what he feels is appropriate for his needs. And I trust that guy's opinions, naturally. Why no love for the Mantis?
 
My guess is the company image they project is all high-speed tactical silliness to most folks here. When you advertise in a way that makes the man on the street associate all knives with being a dangerous weapon for a scary person, well, that has the effect of giving knife users a bad rap. And most of us don't like it, because not all of us use knives as weapons. In fact, it's safe to say very few people here use their knife for anything but utility. And maybe bling.

Because mantis knives is a very old joke around these parts.

Yeah, that's a pretty lame move on the company's part. I'm new around here so I've never heard that. Mantis Militia? Wha? And I should mention by the way, my sensei's not a shill for Mantis, he doesn't care. He probably bought it because the price was right.
