How fool proof is the edge pro apex

I got out of knives a while ago just because I had no way of sharpening them, hence didnt use them much, and it got kinda old. But I am really thinking of finally getting a edge pro, however I have the sharpening skills of a drunken gorilla, well actually that would be being generous. Does the edge pro require any real skill at all?

No real skill level is needed, but I would suggest using a sharpie to match the angle and make sure you are on the edge rather then the shoulder. There is a learning curve but once you get over that well no more dull edges.

I have tried free hand, the Sharpmaker, and the Edge Pro.

I would say the Edge Pro is the easiest of the three for producing clean even bevels. Is it foolproof? No.

If you take your time and watch the dvd, you will get satisfactory results.

This was my first attempt with the Edge Pro Apex 4, I took my time, and I was impressed.

No, the edge pro is not foolproof. But it is an easy system to learn and once you have gotten up to speed on the learning curve, you will get breathtaking results.
