with the leftovers? I finished off the turkey today and I am proud -- but there's still all kinds of desserts, banana nut bread, gingerbread, cake, brownies ...

We Had Dinner away from home this year which means no left overs.

So Fire up that Coffee pot, I'm stopping by.:D

God have mercy on me. The wife decided to invite friends over for dinner tonite and decided to bake another pecan pie. (We ate a whole one Thurs + an apple pie + 1/2 a pumpkin pie)

I can't resist my wife's pecan pie. I am doomed.

Cougar , I am a sucker for gingerbread. I will do somersaults and cartwheels for gingerbread.
Please ,save me some gingerbread.
I can trade you Russian 7.62 , or a slightly used South Korean bayonet.

I went up to one of the casino's here with my Folks for Thanksgiving.

The only drawback.... no leftovers but otherwise a very painless turkey day.
By the way , I had Chinese cuisine , lol... First Thanksgiving without turkey.
:D

I'm doomed. My daughter sent me home with enough leftovers for the whole family to do it all again. I just had my third Thanksgiving dinner. I'm not halfway through the turkey yet, and there's another tray of everything else to go with it.

I'm not complaining. :D

We did Turkey day with the parents. Mom finished off the turkey last night by making a pot pie with it as well as most of the veggies. Cakes and pies were divided up with the guests before anyone left, so I ended up with a little piece of pecan pie.

The wife did bring home her pumpkin cake though.

I gained about 6 pounds. There should be a law against this type of gluttony. Since July I have lost 40 pounds. In the process I have been working on strengthening my self control. I lost it all when my wife stared cooking. My three grown daughters their husbands nine grandchildren , three of my nephews ,my brother-in-law and four friends arrived bringing all sorts of goodies. All told we had over thirty people in the house for dinner. Almost all of them come back for leftovers on Friday.
I can honestly say that it was the best Thanksgiving I can remember. We also have a twelve yer old daughter and and three young foster children in our home. I just sat back and watched the children. There is nothing physically or mentally wrong with any of them. I have a lot to be thankful for.

I'm just envious as we don't have this interesting Turkey Orgy outside the US.

But don't worry, Christmas and a whole load of pre Christmas parties are looming...January should see new depths of despair when standing on the weighing-machine:eek:
