I know they arent close to the originals but for 16 dollars i got a uncle henry pro hunter and was wondering if they are at least ok? also i know they are made of 440c steel but does anyone know its hrc?

It has been my experience, based on the ones I have seen, that they are lacking in fit, finish & overall quality.
One that I got buy accident (didn't read the fine print), a 5UH, had grit of some sort in the joint and made a grinding sound when I opened the blade.

In the comparisons I have done, the Taylor's do not hold an edge nearly as well.

The old saying, "You get what you pay for," is very appropriate here.

If you want them for collecting, buy the real thing. If you want one for using, then buy a used USA made Schrade. In my own experince and from what I read, Taylor is not very good at all.

I bought a Taylor 1940T by mistake last year.
I sharpened it and use it.
It's not a BAD knife, tight and all, stays sharp.
Not real pricey.
Feels like the steel ain't there though.
