Hi all,
Can anybody comment on how effective the bottle opener rear handle on the BK11 is?

Like a SAK perhaps?

Thank you,

It does work. Used it Sunday for a lot of craft beer...probably too much. But I will say its not ideal and it doesn't work as well as a dedicated bottle opener or those on most multi tools

I dont know as I've never used it.
??? JK. It works great, is ready without unfolding anything and, most importantly, has an ever so useful sharp thingy on its other end. To be truthful, it doesn't work as well as the Ka-Barley.....but that is kinda useless for cutting limes.

I used mine to "save the night" at a quincenera I went to back in November. Turned out the Dos XX they bought was the non-twist-off kind. My 11 was used for about 30 minutes on every Dos XX served while one of the honoree's uncles went out to buy one. An opener, that is. I think a bunch of the guys decided that they were gonna get an 11 for those "just in case" scenarios. :D

While it could go a bit further across the bottle cap to perhaps work a bit more efficiently, mine has never failed to open a bottle I have needed to open.

Exactly what Airyca said.
As GSOM said...its always ready which is nice...esp when worn on the belt as opposed to pocket carry...
And a party saver as zzy said...
So, guess I don't have much to add lol

Ir works better than most if not all of the fold out variety. Plus it cuts stuff, try doing that with a regular opener.

Ok...good to see it actually works.

I have some a small SAK that take several strokes to open a beer and just a pita to use and I think its a 58mm variant. The 90~106mm variants open beers pretty easy and with a single stroke.

I just wanted to see if it was the type of bottle openers that can actually open a bottle with a single try.

Thank you,
bigC
