how good is the esee 6 sheath

i know its not kydex so how good is it really? does it hold as good is it strong

Got one with my ESEE 6 and its one SOLID sheath! It likes the knife so much it wants to keep it, be careful on the draw as it is real strong on the retention, but lets go rather suddenly. So far its holding up well, the plastic is flexible so its got a good memory.

I trade it between the injection molded sheath (the one pictured) and my Spec Ops Combat Master. Each one has its uses and does its job very well.

If you get one then your getting quite the knife! The sheath is good to go as well. If you already have it, congrats!!!

I think they have a cousin species that still lives. The Latin name is hard to pronounce, but most just call em P'Leathers. They can typically be found near a sub-sect of the homo-sapien species. Legend has it, they only consume foods containing chlorophyll and wear heat formable pvc. And odd lot all the way around.

The injection molded esee sheaths hold up better in extreme temps than kydex does and add the molle back and pouch and its a really well thought out sheath system.

Do the Esee sheaths come with a Tek-lok??? How do they attach to a belt?

No Tek Lok, Depends on the sheath your looking at. Those plastic jobbers have a few options like the Molle Back or paracord. I have one of the original Eagle sheaths that came with the 5 and its fantastic. The Izula sheath comes with a slot for belt carry.

I took a few of my ESEE's without sheaths so I cant say for the Junglas, 3, or 4.

I do love that ESEE will provide knives without sheaths in some cases.

It comes with a clip plate that screws to the back of the sheath. It has a metal j hook that clips over your belt.
You can also get a molle back to attach to the sheath like this...

I really like the Molle Back with front pouch set up, makes a mundane sheath really useful.
