I have a swisstool that I have had for a while, and I lent it out and it came back with a chunk of metal taken out of the chisel. Also the plier heads has a piece missing from the inside, like someone tried to squeeze something and it was harder than the plier heads. Anyway does anyone know if victorinox would cover this?. Would they fix the old one, or replace it? Thanks in advance..

From my own experience it is excellent.

I have a SwissChamp I purchased in the mid 80's. I had to managed break one side of the pliers (the side attached to the body of the knife). Also the spring in the scissors was broke.

I took it to the SwissArmy shop in NYC and they sent it to be fixed free of charge. I did not even have to pay postage. Before sending it I took out the pen, tweezers, toothpick and small screwdriver in the corkscreew so they would not get lost - they replaced them all, so now I have spares. They also replaced the scratched scales with shiny new ones.

Can't ask for more than that.
