How good of a user is a FBMLE?

It is a little thick for my tastes normally, and with the FFG, I am thinking it might be lighter in hand than the blade stock would suggest.

How would it compare to an ASHBM in terms of feel in hand? I really like the ASHBM, as it feels well balanced to me, and I have done some good chopping with it.

Any words of wisdom?

Its awesome! The thickness balances out nicely with the width of this blade. Its a chopper first and foremost, but choking up on the finger choil actually makes it into a very practical and controllable blade for normal camp tasks. If you don't mind lugging it around, its a great tool

I'm hoping to see the fbm come around again.

I personally think that NMFBM is the best chopper considering all dimensions and the performance.
 
The ffbm/le are very nice to have around. If your not splitting kindling, you can use them to run a train jack. Also they spread cream cheese like no other, ask Rob.
 
Danm hippy's have me drinking. Flower power ipa. It's pretty good.
 
fbmle is an outstanding chopper. A lot more comfortable than ashbm in my opinion. Will outchop ashbm straight from the shop.

I just LOVE seeing a CS being used for real! That's awesome! It's like a lady that can reload her own ammo and gut her own deer and by evening rocking it for a black tie social ~~

My friend, unless some wicked ghost snuck in a parang while I was t looking ---- I'd say the only tools in the picture are a Hatchet and the ASHBM. Then again, a ghost sneaking in a parang wouldn't be the craziest thing I've seen this year . . . Who knows lol

I would have to run it beside an ASHBM to see which is actually better but the FBMLE is a monster!!
