Is Green micarta actually as green on the handle on the pic at Bussecombat?
From all other pictures I've seen the answer is a very disappointing no. If I had known it would be more like a gray, I would have ordered another color on my HOFSH.
Can somesome confirm this? thanks.

most of the green that i have is a mossy green, very good lookingm imho,

try washing it with some hot soapy water and see how it looks, or spray some wd-40 on it then see how that looks too.

I have also noticed that WD-40 lightens the colour of micarta.

Just what you need on a knife....... a slipery handle.

Mossy is a good description. it's not pure green like 00FF00 on the web color palette. It really is a nice shade for knife handles.

Moss coloured describes the green linen micarta handles that I have handled and owned very well.

I would also think that it, like other micarta handles I've had, will darken up over time from your hands oils (No comments for the peanut gallery :p )

photos are kind of funny for color rendition, as it all depends on the white balance used. these 3 photo's kind of give an idea of how varied it can be. the last photo is probably the best, the regular ad being a combination of moss gree's and beige, and the variant being an almost teal green...

Hey Skunk

I will trad you out of that camera you are using ? Some chubby knife maker dropped mine on the ground at blade & broke the battery compartment so I need a new one also. But the one you are using now takes good enough pics for a simple sheath maker from Tucson.

Now for the Green Micarta

They stuff on the old e-series was more of a grey as was the micarta on the AD's & 3/16 SJ's but the new micarta on knives like the jungle defender's & newer knives is very green.
I see a bunch of different knives making sheaths for all these Busse's & ........Rats & have seen a differance but the new stuff looks very green.
Hope that helps.

Now if we could get some green resperine C handles & have green Rats wouldn't that be cool?

David, I bet the camera he's using belong's to Vicki and she probably don't want his skunky hands on it for to long :p
