How hard is it to convert a folder to bearings?

I have several nice folder knives, that I would like to another level, if I could convert the from washers to bearings. I am wondering how difficult that is. And if it can be done. I know you can buy bearing washers, but what would be involved in converting from standard washers--either nylon or bronze to bearing ones?

Mill out the liners/scales to make room for the bearings. I did it with a Spyderco Tenacious, didn't take me too long but it didn't turn out perfect. I recommend a good mill over a drill press, but you can do it either way.

bpeezer, thanks for the reply, I don't have a mill or access to one, the couple of knives I am wanting to do are very nice customs, so I will probably get ahold of the maker's and ask them if they would do it for me. I also have some fairly nice production knives, Spyderco Sage, Native 5 that I am wanting to do also, so maybe I'll break them down, and assess what would be involved in doing them.

Appreciate the input.
