Hey guys, I'm a month into my first strip/satinize job, and wondering how hard it is to remove and re-do tubes. It sure would help the blade look even to be able to get to that area at the base of the blade, by the tops of the scales.

Any tips on working that area without removing the slabs?

And a how-to on tube removal and replacement, as well as info on how much a PITN it is is appreciated!

I followed a how-to on flaring new tube fasteners and I totally botched that job; ended up getting some screws and stand-offs for the job instead.

Search and you'll find the tube flaring tool howto.

If you're lucky Grinducci will chime in and give you some expert advice unlike my amateur anecdotes!
