How hard is it to remove the DLC coating on a ZT0300?

I would love to find a ZT0300 with a stone washed blade. I found a ZT350 SW at Blade HQ and love it. But there does not seem to be any 0300's for sale anywhere that don't have the Tungston DLC. Could the DLC even be removed without butchering the looks of the knife and if so, how would you go about it?

I took the coating off my 350. It wasn't hard at all. Started at 60grit up to 1500. Id suggest starting around 120 though cuss it did put some scratches in the blade but ot doesn't bother me none.

Hello,

Send it out to a pimper and have it sand blasted then stone washed or acid dipped. I had mine done for $30 plus shipping.

Have a good one,

Chris

Chris, could you tell me where you sent yours? Did it come back looking like the one in the picture of the post above yours?

Pretty easy to do yourself, then do the dryer stone wash. I would love to see this done on a 300. That's not a bad price at all.
