How heavy is it?

From my review of the original production-run: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/s...s-(warning-pic-heavy)?p=11703577#post11703577

...my GSO-10 weighs 20.95 oz naked, 27.86 oz in its sheath. In comparison, the Junglas and Rodent 9 are ~23 oz naked...

That's with canvas micarta, G10 would weigh a little more.

Another reviewer posted their second-run GSO-10 as 19.5 oz with G10 scales, would be a little lighter with micarta, so the second run took off a bit of weight.

The newest batch hasn't been made, but Guy increased the thickness from 0.1875 to 0.20" so expect it to be a little heavier...

The blade is also a little shorter so that might even it out back to the previous weight. Once we have solid numbers for weights, we will update the production pages.

Thanks all. Anything close to 20 oz or less for a ~ 10" blade should be very manageable. I think a 12 will be too much for my aging elbows, but 10 should be able to handle anything I need a longer blade for. Not too worried about serious chopping :) That is what hatchets/axes are for!
