Here is a picture of the front page of the local paper. Go to www.recordonline.com for the story. Being of unsound mind and unsound body I was considering putting on my old wetsuit and rafting from my house to the hudson. I figured that when I got to the Hudson I could make up my mind to stop in NYC at the Blarney stone Pub, Keep going to England or head to South America. Eh all in all no biggie at least I found where the leaks were in some of the buildings. In fact things are starting to dry. Not so for a lot of folks. I always wondered about people who build million dollar houses on the flood plain of a river. I guess it is because it is so nice there err most of the time. Oh I just wanted to show that I was not making this nonsense up. LT Knife content, knives are safe. Also the Mirando Grind stone that I posted a picture of did not float away.

Impressive,

If you ever get to the river at Fortin de las Flores, Mexico, you can see where I lived when I was a kid, that is in Veracruz not far from the gulf coast.

In hurricane season the river would often flood, the house was on a hill away from harm and there was a raised walk to get to the nearest highway. When the wind was hard it could be scary but we never had to cover the windows or anything like that, you could often not see out the window because of the fog, when it all cleared the trees looked like they were planted on water and when the water went down the land was all mushy for a good while.

It was more fun than living in Mexico city really.

LT,
Glad to hear you & your collection are safe.
We had a little rain here in Oregon & I found a leak in my motor home. Looks like we both will be doing some patching.

I was just browsing ebay and saw something that might be of intrest to you:
Item number: 6569140453. It is a commemorative Barlow from Wallkill State Prison. Of course Smokey has it for auction. Just thought you might to check it out.
Take care & glad your water is going down!

That is a cool knife. LT, did you work at any of the prisons that had their own Schrade issue? I see a couple listed in BRL's guide, this one and the Fishkill Penitentiary, 513SC. Were there any more?

Glad you are dry and the the knives are safe. In that order..
Phil
