How I carry my hawk, how do you?

I finally figured out the way I best like carrying my hawk while camping or hiking, I went ahead and had a little belt made for mounting it and a nice edge mask made.

I never liked using the steel "hammer loops" because they didn't quite carry right and they clinked and clanked, but I love this method. How do you guys carry yours?

Please ignore all the pink lol my little sister is the only one with a mirror big enough for this pic

The Maxpedition UFBS flashlight/baton holster actually works really well for the task and can be worn on the belt or attached to a pack.

I carry the ones without spikes and polls with the handle just tucked in my belt, for the ones with a poll I use a belt loop holder. I alway carry then with the blade facing the rear as they are less likely to snag on stuff.

Although I came up with a shoulder rig which I posted in another thread, I typically have my RMJ tucked behind a pouch on the side of my rucksack.

Simple jumper,
I think I saw your post a while back and made my own for my kestrel I think the only change I made was a buckle on the shoulder loop where the hawk goes so I can take the sheath off easily.

Not a bad idea, and relatively inexpensive at that.

Hey Lapp, thanks I like it because I can strap the hawk onto a pack hand it for a tree hng it from my belt or wherever els I want. And yep very cheap to make or have made.

Not a bad idea. I like that the little belt could also be used to strap your 'hawk onto a pack or about anywhere else you'd want (vehicle, ATV, etc). Seems pretty versatile.

I've carried mine either tucked into my belt, or using a simple loop of string/rope to slip the handle through. However, I'd like to get away from a method that lets the handle dangle down so low. Mine is a pipe 'hawk, and I'm apprehensive about putting my lips on it after it's been brushing through poison ivy all day. I'd like to figure out some easy method of carry that will keep the handle up out of the weeds.

Nice! I sent my hawk to TIE Tactical and he made a top loading sheath with a lock for mine and made it compatible with various mounting systems like TEK LOK

I'm still using your method, SJ, and have yet to find a better one.
It works great with both my RMJs & Winklers, its a simple, effective, and invisible rig.
Thanks again, Brother!

You could always make maybe a friction fit cap for the mouth piece? I'd make is out of some thin glove leather maybe so you could make it nice and snug.
