I need a quiet stringer and those metal chain ones make too much noise for me, especially in an aluminum boat . I like the convenience of them though. I took some paracord tied figure 8s on a bite at the ends and butterfly knots in between. removed the clips from a chain stringer and attached them to the cord. They can be made with as many clips and any length you need. This one is six foot from the end to the first clip so, when I'm at the fish cleaning station they will reach the water.

I actually really like this. I to a lot of back country canoe trips on trout lakes and I've always thought the smashing of my stringer against my canoe scares off the trout. Ill be making one of these for sure!

Looks good!! The number of hooks is a bit optimistic for me though. :o

As an aside, mesh bags brought with, then filled with rock makes a nice anchor; just remember to dump out the rock before you head home. :D

I can usually catch my limit of 6 bass. I keep the ones between 11 and 12 inches. Theres a slot limit at most of the lakes i go too. Need a couple of extra hooks for other species. I made two of these so i will have enough for a limit of crappies. Just have to double up on some. I always used a rope stringer but I have to untie it each time i add or subtract a fish. This will be much handier and i will be able to take better pictures too boot.

I've got to make my "extension" line into one of these. It will be so much simpler and I can make it to accommodate local limits.
