How I spent my Wednesday Evening.

Hi folks -

I spent my Wed. evening working on my car - replacing the header gaskets.

I am going to the drag strip (weather permitting) this coming Sunday, and I needed to replace the header gaskets.

I think I will also do an oil change, spark plugs, and some other misc. gaskets before I go.

The last time I went to the strip, I ran my best time with this car of 11.91 @ 117 mph.

I am hoping for a little better this time - I have installed a new clutch, trans and a 3.90 gear with a Quaiffe differential.

I miss working on cars! Back in the day, my best friend all through grade school and high school (we were even the best man for each other when we got married) farmed in the area. We had his shop to work in, and had our own quarter mile marked off for testing. I had a 396 1969 Chevelle, he had a 1965 Mustang with a built 289. Good times
