You have proabably seen the program. A fairly detailed explanation on how various things we use are made.

From snowboards to toilets the manufacturing process is shown. If you ever get a chance to see how 3D foam puzzles are made there is an interesting part in it.

A gentleman is fastening a sheet of foam ruber into place to be diecut. The narrator stresses how important alignment is. You then watch a worker take a philips screwdriver and tries to tighten a reamed out Robertson screw. When that doesn,t work he pounds it down with a hard rubber mallet.

It was hilarious. :D

That is a great show, I haven't seen that one yet. I worked for a carbide tool manufacturer for a few years. I was mostly in the shipping area, but early in my time there I got to spend a couple of days helping out in the centerless grinding dept. As the machine was dialed-in for fine adjustment the operator would whack the regulating assembly with a dead blow hammer. Needless to say I was a bit surprised at the technique, but they managed to keep things in spec -.0001 to -.0003 of an inch, even with my less than skilled help.
