How is it we have leaked versions of the 15 and the 17 and even in the database we have pictures of the 15 and the 17 but there is only a "mock up" of the 16 in production version?
 
Can't wait for them all to finally release.Think the 15 will be my first tweener though.Pics lifted from Tomar's.

I think the tweener I buy first is gonna be the 17, just because it has a clip point, and I'm working on getting an 11 to go with my 2 now, unless the tweeners show up somewhere for the same price as the 11, which I doubt will happen.
 
Its my understanding that Ethan requested the changes after all the ones we see in the catalogs and at the shows were made. I am guessing all of the ones made since then have not been released at all. It would be cool to see some pictures of the FFG 16 though. I for one am looking forward to the tan/brown grivory as well. :thumbup: I am sure one of the mods will be able to give you the exact details, they are good like that :D
 
I've seen the pre-production ones. I'm talking about the production ones, with the FFG. The only "picture" I've seen is Dubz mock up. Unless I missed something.

That is the closest things I have seen, I think it would have been a pretty big deal if some pictures were released. I'm keeping an eye out though.

Tomar's listing has the tweeners coming with zytel grips and "an extra set of handles" whether these are micarta(doubt it,but that would be nice) or just a tan zytel to match the sheath color will be interesting to see. I know I will be looking to order micarta and custom kydex the day these come out for mine.:D
 
Zytel......grivory......... I was under the impression they were almost identical. Either way I'm pumped. And I think micarta will come later iirc

yeah, they're coming with two different colors of zytel... black, and a kind of tan... "doughboy brown" or something like that. was originally called "coyote tan", but the color is perhaps not quite that.

micarta will be optional, and offered at a later time

why no pictures of the BK16 with FFG? because nobody as far as i know has taken a picture yet and shared it. we ARE the number source of information on these things after all. :D we scoop them all. in theory ;) in practice, sometimes the guys go forth and show stuff to OTHER people before us guys. sniff. yeah, okay, *cry*, we can live with that.

KaBar's official photographs, be they catalog, web, or the materials sent to distributors (like Tomars), were pre made based on what they thought were the final prototypes. things change in today's fast moving world, but lead times for photography, studio time, and catalog production? sloooooowwwwwwwwww.

the laser etched stuff? haven't seen on in person yet myself. only a few photographs.

but seriously, when we all know, you will know :) heck, sometimes we all know before Ethan knows :D
 
You'll be able to scope it out all you like when they are released in the fall..
 
Tomars has the new pics om their site. I was hoping when i ordered the 9 it would be the new one in the pics but alas
 
Moose has the only one. This weekend, I plan to slip it out of his pack and insinuate it must have fallen into the river.
 
This is all irrelevant as long as Machaxen are still being held hostage in NY.
