How is the Centofante III bug attached?

Is it an inlay, or is it just glued in place?

The bug is inset into, and pretty much flush with, the handle, not just sitting on top of a flat surface. That said, would guess it's also glued in place.

Why do you want to remove the bug? Did you want to make an earring out of it?

They are glued into a hole the shape of the bug, I know this because I had one fall out after carrying it a few years, Spyderco sent me a knew one and I glued it back in. It was a Vesuvius BTW not the Centofante III, same diff though.
