I have a Walker Almite. Screws counter sunk in one aluminum scale go through the nested liner and appear to be threaded into the other aluminum liner. I have not taken it apart to confirm that this is the construction. My question is how the Carbon fiber Walker is constructed? I can not see the same construction used in carbon fiber scales.

My reason for asking is I am toying with the idea of changing the scales and I want go non metalic.

Roger - The CF Walker was the first prodction CF knife. CF doesn't hold screws well so on the CF Walker, we screwed the scales to the back spacer from both sides.

beam, I bought the Carbon Fiber Walker folder about 4 years ago. The ats-34 blade that came with it was very dull for some reason and yes I did buy it new. It cost me about $300.00 back then. The knife has no liners, just two carbon fiber slabs. The lock is a lot like the Military. The leaf lock is VERY secure on the CF Walker. There are no washers but the lateral strength is very strong for a knife with no washers. The over all fit and finish of the knife was very impressive but it did have some blade play when the knife was closed. The ball detent was not very acurate. The colored blue pocket clip is really easy to scratch as well.
