I searched, but what I found was about another version with the scagel hole in the blade and possibly another blade steel.

How is the fit & finish on the Northwoods indian river jack? In a thread where one was for sale the seller wrote "Fit/ finish is not perfect on these"

I don't own one, but have seen people say the usually have glue overflow around the shield. Too bad, it's a great looking knife and a good alternative for guys who like stainless.

No problems with this one I picked up on the exchange. It's slim and packs a decent blade with a wicked sharp edge. Walk and talk is great and pull is a 5. Overall I'm really pleased with it.

I briefly owned one and the F&F was definitely not perfect, but not too terrible. Off centered blade in the closed, but no rubbing. Liners were a bit proud and some backspring gaps. Blade edge came with burrs and unfinished 1/16" or so at the tip. And lots of glue filled gappage around the shield.

Nothing serious and nothing that impeded usage whatsoever. Smooth pull, good snap, and tight in the open. Once lightly touched up the edge was plenty sharp.

We designed that knife to be a worker. It was made by queen and they did a good job. I would say it is not up to speed with the GEC, but nothing I am ashamed to have.

The ones without the scagel hole are better than the old ones. The new run all have a bark river grind to them.

I have one and there mini-moose both are top shelf in my opinion. The Indian has a nice grind too, I've dulled mine and it gets real sharp real fast.
Respectfully, Chance.
