How is the G10 on the Police 3?

Hi fellas.
My first post here... Recently got bitten by spyderco and am looking for my third one.

I need to know if the G10 on the police 3 is the same as on e.g. Military and Manix2?
On pics and youtube it looks darker and I am guessing that it is more polished then the above mentioned. - is this correct?
You see I want my spydies to match eachother in style so this is a dealbreaker for me (yes I am weird :rolleyes:)

The color is about the same as the Manix2.
Visually the texturing looks very similar, but the Police3 is a bit smoother with nicely rounded edges.

I put off buying a P3 for a long time. It just looked like it would be too big. Turns out it has become one of favorite Spydies. :thumbup:

Hmmm...probably not. They look pretty much alike.

Edit: Just to be certain, I pulled my Manix2 out again and compared. There IS the slightest difference....the pattern on the Manix is a wee bit coarser, but you have to look pretty hard to notice.

IMHO, it's more a question of the G-10 on US and Japanese models feeling different than of them looking different. To me, the US stuff has a somewhat more aggressive texture, but that's easier to feel than to see.
 
Pull that trigger. I love my Police 3. All I have to compare is a smurf Manix 2 & the Manix's texture is more aggressive. The Police 3 has pretty smooth G10. It's very pocket friendly.
 
I just got a full serrated P3 the other day, love it. I plan on getting a plain edge P3 in the near future. I don't think you will be disappointed.
 
I didnt think i would be too big of a fan of the police either becuase of its size, but i got one in a trade an old gin1 steel and i lovve it! I know really want to get a police3
