How is the Protech Cambria Flipper?

I was browsing Protech knives online looking for a new automatic and noticed the Cambria flipper. I've been looking for a good flipper. I noticed there aren't any reviews and there is only 1 video on it. I figure it has to be good because it's a Protech. Has anyone gotten to handle one?

I'm not too big on it since the handles are aluminum. A bit concerning as regards to strength. Blade wise, CPM 154 CM is good, but for almost $200, there are better options.

Yup, was going to get it.. seriously, until I saw some videos and reviews. I'm much more into the ZT flippers and will more than likely get the 0095. I do like aluminum handles. Not into plastics, woods, or CF.

I love mine, though I am partial to Protech in general. Quality production button-lock flippers are also kind of hard to come by so I find it appealing for that aspect. The action of the flipper and button-lock is perfect, on mine at least. My only complaint is the somewhat awkward cant of the blade to handle. Reminds me of the Spyderco Schempp Bowie. Overall another Protech win for me.

Nice to see you again!

I almost pulled the trigger on this knife. Literally had it in my "cart" at one of the online knife retailers when I finally decided to pass after thinking "how can it possibly be a better button lock than either the Freeman 451 or the Klotzli SBG that I already own?"

I love Protech..own 5 of their knives and love the button lock aspect as well. I own the TR-5 SA which also has a button lock.
I just wasn't drawn to this knife even though I am a loyal for life Protech buyer.
I wasn't upset with the price point either.
I do believe, in the future, Protech will have more flippers. Would be really nice to see them utilize a frame lock.

I don't own that model, but have owned quite a few Protech knives, and ALL have been great!! I should say, all of mine are auto's though...

Protech specializes in the button lock, pretty much. Ball bearings, button lock, flipper, and only $170 for the base model? If it had a lefty clip, I'd have one already ordered.

Their customer service is second to none..talk to them. You'd be surprised ;)

Another Pro Tech fan here.
I have around 15 of them, one manual TR3.
Excellent knives, excellent company. Top notch CS.
