How is the Spyderco Para Mili 2?

I have been debating on buying a spyderco mili 2 for a few months. Mainly because it looks like a great slicer. (And it has the compression lock) I do have the small and large BM Onslaught, and they are great slicers as well. So my question is should I just hit buy and get it over with? Pros and cons appreciated.

If you like Spydies, it'd be hard to go wrong with a Para 2...

It took me a little while to get used to the compression lock but other than that, I'd be hard-pressed to find any real fault with my Para 2. Great slicer!

It replaced all of my EDC's. It takes a great edge, Compression lock is crazy strong and it deploys with the flick of your thumb. I am getting another as soon as I can sneak one into the house.

The Paramilitary 2 is a fantastic knife. I put off buying it for a while because I have the older model and thought they would be more or less the same. I was quite wrong on that assumption.

The small changes made in the Paramilitary 2 make it a much better knife (and this is coming from somebody who loves his old Para). I've been using mine a lot, I'm surprised at how many things they got right in this knife.

Let's see:
-Great lock.
-Useful blade shape, full flat ground and made out of S30V
-Very comfortable handle (I've got large hands and the earlier version was a tad small for me)
-Light weight

The only thing I don't like about mine is the shiny clip, but that's an easy fix.

Fantastic knife. Its just about as good a knife as you can buy for ~$100. I sold mine last year and I have regretted it ever since. Superb slicer with great ergos. The compression lock does take some getting the hang of but it is rock steady and can be easily operated with one hand.

The Para 2 has ended my search for the perfect EDC. The only single thing I can find fault with is that it isn't offered in a fully serrated variant. Ergos, performance and value for the money are simply unparalleled IMO. I have a whole tub full of knives I'll eventually be selling simply because I know I'll never use them again after I discovered the Para 2.

Could always use the poor mans Para and buy the Tenacious!

its an awesome knife. have one and carry it often, it about as reliable as a knife can be.

It's honestly one of the greatest folders ever produced, in my opinion. So much fun to play with and so damn smooth. The compression lock it just outstanding. I wish it were on more knives. I wish Spyderco would at least use it more. Extremely comfortable handle with great grippy texture and great, great jimping. I love the choil and thumb ramp. I love the blade shape. The tip is a bit fragile as it's a tactical blade, though. NEVER PRY! I snapped the very tip off my first one on the first day. I wouldn't call that a flaw, though. Just a product of the amazing grind and blade shape. I can't say enough about it. I have Sebenza's, ZT 0560's, Stryder's, etc and I still consider it one of my very favorite's.

I vaguely recall seeing a generally favorable opinion expressed about it on this forum at some point.

I like Para2's and Military models; I have multiples of each. PM2 is my favorite EDC by far.
