Is anyone else addicted to the "How It's Made." show on cable TV?
I just recently made some changes with our AT&T lineup and with the savings we were able too get Digital Cable instead of the Expanded Basic regular cable we did have mostly so we could have the SciFi, Nat Geo, and expanded Discovery channels as we don't watch too much local TV on the big three networks except on certain nights. Barbie is addicted to the CSI Series, Numb3rs, and Criminal Minds so that's about the extent of regular TV we watch except for local news sometimes.
The "How It's Made." show has me addicted though. I get really fascinated with it and forget to type sometimes when I'm making a post. Chalk it up to my old machine shop experience or the fascination of seeing how different things are made but I find the show enthralling, anyone else?
If you haven't caught it yet it's well worth watching if you like to see how different things are made.:D

Yup...but you already knew that you & I watched the same stuff. I just figured out that Barbie and Patty watch the same shows too...pretty neat, eh?

i too am completely hooked on that show
its hypnotic watching stuff go by
zip...zip...zip...zip...
kerchunk...kerchunk...kerchunk...

Wow, great minds think alike! I saw one last week on chains and lawnmowers, and it was just fascinating. I would love to see one on modern bolt action rifles, and about a hundred other things I guess.

Very cool show. (Of course my wife thinks only a nerd like me would enjoy it, but maybe she's right?! :D )

That, "Mail Call" with the Gunnie (Hoorah!, Semper Fi, Carry On!) and "Jeopardy" (when I can get home in time to watch it; 1900 hrs. PST) are about the only shows I really key on anymore...

Yep. Great show! My father in law introduced me to it.

That show is great! It's like the shows I used to watch when I was a kid that would have things like "this is how chewing gum is made". Oddly fascinating to this day -- then again, I'm a big geek.

I love that show. "made in America" is a good one too.

I've gotten burned out on all the CSI shows. The science is fascinating but I just can't handle the stories anymore. Too depressing.

You should watch Law & Order SVU if you want depression. But i am also addited to the "how it's made" just wish to narrator would get a little excited once in awhile.

My Wife is a huge CSI Miami fan.

I like everything in Discovery and History Channels.

"How It's Made" has been on the Canuckistani version of Discovery Channel for years. It's great, though sometimes they'll do stuff like spend 10 minutes on how toothpicks are made, on maybe 6 on a helicopter.

Another cool show that was on TLC when it actually WAS education and not just about interior decoration and fashion, was "The Secret Life of Machines".

The stuff on that show is my company's bread and butter. We make industirial control systems.

I watch the show occasionally... if it happens to be on then I'll watch it... but I dont make a point of watching it when its on...
