How knife sits on the edge pro for sharening

When the blade is set on the edge pro sharpener is the back of the knife set flat on the tool or the blade of the knife toward the cutting edge set on the tool flat?? thanks I only have the edge pro copy for now.

It doesn't matter how it sits, as long as it always sits the same for every stroke.

Depends a lot on the knife. They all sit a bit differently.
Check out youtube for some videos. I picked up a lot from a few. Then it's just practice.

If you have a flat grind, you're golden. Sometimes, the "two" different flats will drive me nuts, and then if you have a thumbstud in your way besides... Yikes!

Yeah, I've been toying with the idea of trying to convert my Apex to a Wicked Edge sort of design, where the blade is clamped in and held solid. It appears to be great on the Wicked Edge. My Pro works well, but not so much for 3/4 grinds, etc.
As has been said already, the magic is getting the blade to be solid and unwavering... Not always an easy thing to do.
